How to Wash Wool
Always check the care label first. Some wool garments are dry clean only.
For washable wool:
Use cool water and a small amount of detergent.
Hand wash when possible, especially for loosely knitted or valuable pieces.
Gently press the garment through the water. Do not scrub or twist.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water.
Press out excess water with a clean towel.
Reshape the garment and lay it flat to dry.
Avoid hot water, wringing, rough agitation, and high heat. Do not place wool in the dryer unless the care label specifically permits it.
Test colorfastness before washing deeply dyed, vintage, embellished, or handmade pieces.
