What is Dimethyl 9-Decenamide

Dimethyl 9-decenamide is derived from renewable sourcing. It is safe, non-toxic, and helps pull away tough dirt from clothes that other detergents may not remove.

Why do we use Dimethyl 9-Decenamide

This chemical is a surfactant that helps clean and pull grease and soil out of clothing. It is readily biodegradable.  Dimethyl 9-decenamide is soluble in a wide range of solutions— which makes it easy to work with when designing products.

Is Dimethyl 9-Decenamide safe to use? Is it nontoxic?

Yes, dimethyl 9-decenamide is safe to use.  We currently use a fractional amount of this ingredient in our laundry detergent to help pull grease and soil from garments. In producing our products, a small amount of dimethyl 9-decenamide is diluted in water. Then it is diluted again in wash water during the product’s use. The percent leaving as wastewater is very, very low.
