Fragrances can be harmful
Often, fragrances contain carcinogens, allergens, and hormone disruptors. Because of this, we primarily scent our products with Essential Oils made from plants and fruits.
However, we also offer a small selection of Phthalate-Free Fragrance oils. These oils are aromatic compounds made of GRAS (generally recognized as safe) synthetics. These fragrances do not contain any chemicals on the California Prop 65 list known to cause cancer or reproductive harm ( such as phthalates, parabens, dyes, formaldehyde and more ).
Why we scent safely
We will never compromise your health or comfort for a strongly scented product. We add the minimal amount of oils needed for scenting each product in order to help avoid irritation for people with sensitivities.
So, how can I boost my laundry's smell?
If you want to increase your laundry's scent in a non-toxic way, we have three tips for you.
Tip One
Washing your clothing in cool water will help the scent stick to your clothing. However, you would also need to air-dry or select the "cool dry" option on your dryer in order to help preserve the scent through the whole laundry cycle.
Tip Two
Adding a few drops of our Scenting Oils to our dryer balls will help distribute scent back into your clothing during the dryer cycle. This way you can choose your level of scent based off of what best suits you!
Tip Three
Try out our Phthalate-Free Fragrance oils in our Custom Scent product options. Phthalate-Free Fragrance oils have a higher chance of lingering on your clothes after using heat, unlike Essential oils, which tend to dissipate in high temperatures.
