Third-Party Lab Tested
Floor Cleaner Concentrate | Rosemary, Mint & Tea Tree
Independently tested by an accredited lab. Here is what came back.
Tested on our base formula, covering our entire floor cleaner line.
No detectable 1,4-dioxane, the cancer-linked byproduct that can form when common surfactants are made.
Why we test
1,4-dioxane is a manufacturing byproduct, not an ingredient, so it never appears on a label even when it is present. in 2024 the epa determined it poses an unreasonable risk to human health, with concerns that include cancer, liver damage, and harm to the tissue involved in smell. it forms while the surfactants in many soaps and detergents are made, so a label cannot tell you whether it is there. a lab test can, so we run one.
Understanding the results
Not detected above 1 ppm
None detected means below the lab's detection limit, not a flat zero. For scale, one drop of water in an Olympic pool is about 0.01 ppm.
