No Lingering Scent | Rustic Strength Detergents do not contain any Optical Brighteners or Chemical Binders. We view this as an asset, however if you would like to enhance the scent, we recommend adding an essential oil to your Dryer Balls, or by utilizing a toxin-free Linen Spray.

Our Measuring Pumps for Half Gallon & Gallon containers dispense exactly 1oz.
With our highly concentrated active ingredients, we do NOT recommend overfilling your laundry tub with clothes. It is best to work with a medium size load and about 1 oz of detergent. This way your laundry tumbles/swishes around in the tub and gets plenty of water and detergent on all the garments to ensure proper cleaning.
If you have lots of bubbles in your washing machine, decrease how much detergent you use.
If you have hard water use our Oxyboost to help soften the water so the detergent can work more efficiently.

When to use Hot Water
Hot water is good for whites, typical dirty clothes, sweaty active wear and diapers. Hot water is best to remove germs, kill dust mites and heavily soiled items.
When to use Warm Water
Warm water is good for cleaning most man-made fibers, knits and jeans. It will clean without fading or significant shrinking.
When to use Cold Water
Cold water is best for dark, bright colors that bleed or delicate fabrics. Pre-treat or pre-soak your clothes if items are heavily soiled.

Stain removal. Simply place a little detergent directly on the stain and scrub the fabric together. Some stains respond better with cold-water vs hot water. For more details on a specific stain removal, please see our blog posts.
Remove the toughest stains with Oxy Boost and Un-Bleach.
Soften hard water and clean with Epic Washing Soda.
Soften fabrics and remove odors with Organic Fabric Softener.

Charcoal Filtered Deionized Water • High-purity water.
Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine • Naturally derived from coconut, palm-free, it is an environmentally friendly and biodegradable surfactant with high foaming and mild chemistry.
Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate • Derived from coconuts, palm-free, this mild-surfactant helps to lift dirt and debris from surfaces, so the water can whisk them away. Biodegradable.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine • Naturally derived from coconut and palm-free. It is an environmentally friendly, high-foaming, and biodegradable surfactant.
Decyl Glucoside • A plant-derived, biodegradable surfactant. It is mild and safe for sensitive skin.
Sodium Gluconate • Natural mineral, helps grab onto and remove foreign contaminants.
Sodium Citrate • Natural mineral, helps grab onto and remove pollutants.
Sodium Carbonate • Natural mineral, helps pull dirt out of garment fibers.
Vegetable Glycerin• Derived from vegetables. It is biodegradable and helps the plant surfactants do their job. Food-grade & USP kosher.
Dimethyl 9-Decenamide • A plant-based, biodegradable nonionic surfactant that helps clean and removes grease and other substances.
Capryl Caprylyl Glucoside • A biodegradable plant-based surfactant with mild chemistry and sensitive skin compatibility.
Polysorbate 20 • Plant-based performance stabilizer. Helps in the spreadability of liquids and stabilizes the formula when adding essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances. Biodegradable. USP kosher. Food-Grade. Dioxane-free.

I switched to non-toxic automatic dishwasher soap, but felt that I still needed a drying agent/rinse aid to make my glassware look it's best. After removing toxins by switching detergents, I certainly didn't want to introduce chemicals in the rinse aid. This product is wonderful.

We got this to replace our swiffer wet jet and it is the perfect tool to clean our floors. The liquid mists, so it doesn’t get wasted the way the swiffer liquid does. Also, it comes with a bunch of floor cleaner samples to enjoy! We love it so far.
I have been super happy with all the products from Rustic Strength. This detergent seems to work great! I love that the products are clean and that I don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals!
I love this so much more than my swiffer wet jet. The sprayer is wider and works better. You wash the pads so you don’t have to keep buying disposable pads. And it comes with a lot of cleaning concentrate that will last a long time.
I have very fine hair with an oily scalp and dry mid to ends. I've started having itching on my scalp, although it still gets oily within 2 days. I've also been losing my hair for over a yeat (all labs are normal). I've also tied tea tree oil shampoo from a different company that really dried out my hair and made me lose even more! I tried this coconut conditioner and it's amazing! It doesn't feel slippery like others, so wasn't sure if it was working. 2 pumps on mid and ends of hair. Left it on while completing shower then rubbed my long hair into my scalp to get a little bit on there, and rinsed. It dried so soft and healthy!. Took a couple weeks, but no more itchy scalp and doesn't dry out my hair or make my scalp oily or hair limp. Bonus, hair is no longer falling out!
